Santa Sophia Takes on the G.A.T.E.WAYS Challenge! 🌟 What a fantastic two days for our Santa Sophia Gifted and Talented students at the 2026 G.A.T.E.WAYS Challenge, held at Kurrajong Public School! Our Years 3 and 4 students competed on Thursday, followed by Years 5 and 6 on Friday, tackling a range of challenging activities designed to develop creative thinking, problem-solving and teamwork. 👏 We were especially proud to receive wonderful feedback from the presenters, who complimented our students on their enthusiasm, engagement and outstanding teamwork! 📚 A special highlight was meeting Dr Martin Chatterton, award-winning author and illustrator of more than 40 books, who has collaborated with authors including James Patterson. Our students enjoyed meeting Martin, and we were delighted to have him sign several of his books from our Knowledge Hub collection! 🏆 As this is a national competition, final results will be announced once all states' results have been collated. Congratulations to all our students for representing Santa Sophia so proudly! 💙 #SantaSophiaCatholicCollege #GiftedAndTalented #GATEWAYSChallenge #Teamwork #KnowledgeHub

🙏 Our First Family Mass in Our Newly Dedicated Chapel Today, we celebrated our first Family Mass with our youngest students, our Kindergarteners, in our newly dedicated chapel. Fr Walter began by introducing the children to the sacred items used during Mass and the vestments worn by priests, helping them gain a deeper understanding of the Catholic tradition. Our Kindergarten students were wonderfully reverent throughout the celebration, participating respectfully and wholeheartedly in the liturgy. It was a beautiful opportunity to nurture their faith and strengthen their connection with our Catholic community. 💙 #FamilyMass #SantaSophiaCommunity
