On Thursday 20th February, Kindergarten had a visit from Supreme Incursions where we got to discover how to build and drive billy carts.
This was our entry event for our next Investigations unit 'Move and Make.' We learnt about how pushing and pulling helps us move the billy carts. Kindergarten are fantastic, fast drivers!
We also had the chance to build our own moving toys using nuts, bolts, washers, ropes, wheels and more! After our incursion, the children were able to explain many things that they learnt about 'how objects move' and they also had some questions of their own. Who knew learning could be so much fun?

β¨ Career insights in the School of Challenge! On Thursday 14 November, our students explored two exciting career pathways β Nurse Manager and Beauty Therapist β thanks to two generous college parents. π©Ί Ms Reid, Nurse Manager at Sydney Virtual Hospital, shared how a Bachelor of Nursing can open doors to a wide range of roles. She also explained how virtual care now supports every NSW health district, with over 200 positions in her area alone. π Mrs Davidson, Director of The Hills Piercing Studio, spoke about her journey from studying a Diploma of Beauty Therapy during her HSC to finding her niche in piercing and eventually running her own studio. Her story highlighted the importance of seizing opportunities and building experience along the way. Students loved having the chance to ask personalised questions and learn directly from industry professionals.
