This week we held our Term 2 Santa Sophia Connect events on our Facebook page.
These online events are an opportunity for parents, or the general public, to find out more about the learning taking place at Santa Sophia Catholic College.
This week we focused on digital portfolios (Stage 4) and the use of Seesaw (Kindergarten).
Thank you to Mr De Vries, Mr Castellino, Ms Magistrado, Ms Musgrave and Ms Ganac who all provided their time in sharing information and answering questions from parents.
During the two evenings, a screen-share was conducted also so parents could see inside the Digital Portfolio or Seesaw and understand better how to access and interpret them

The Year 5 students spent last Thursday on a Spirituality Day at St Joseph’s Retreat Centre. They prayed the rosary with Sr Mary Immanuel, enjoyed the challenge of the Amazing Race, were engaged in discussion in their small groups led by the Immaculata missionaries and finished the day with Eucharistic Adoration. Our Year 11 students, soon to be Year 12 leaders, took part in the Mitchell Electorate Leadership Camp, joining students from other schools in the area for an inspiring weekend of connection and growth. On Wednesday 15th October over 80 students participated in the Parramatta Diocesan Gala Day at Jamison Park. On what was an extremely hot day, our teams played competitively and were good sports people. Congratulations to the 9 years girls and 12 years senior boys team for winning their pool. 👏
