In just one day, Year 8 students created their own stop motion short film!
On Tuesday 22 October, Year 8 Visual Arts students participated in a Claymation Digital Animation Workshop facilitated by Digi Ed. They learned the stopmotion/claymation process and how to story board, animate, and add titles, credits and music to their video.

Eight of our students had an insightful session with Senior Constable Glenn Clark, our Youth Engagement Officer! He shared the journey to becoming a Police Officer, including the physical requirements, the application process, and the training pathway. From an initial four-week online course through CSU, to 16 weeks at the NSW Police Academy in Goulburn, students learned what it takes to earn an Associate Degree in Policing Practice. Graduates then begin in General Policing, with opportunities to specialise after around three years. 👮♂️🚓

Year 10 Careers Development students had the privilege of welcoming Jojo from UTS Startups on Friday, 8 November! Jojo introduced them to entrepreneurship—identifying problems and taking risks to create business solutions. He shared his journey with Big Talks Weekly, a subscription service delivering real-world case studies for HSIE subjects. Students learned that entrepreneurial thinking starts with identifying a problem, understanding who it impacts, and testing solutions. They brainstormed innovative ideas, tackling challenges like finding time to walk your dog and boosting focus for schoolwork. Those interested in diving deeper were encouraged to explore the UTS Practical Entrepreneurship 1 Unit online next year, or consider UTS Startups after school! 🚀

Our Year 12 Ancient History students recently visited the Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney! Guided by expert archaeologists, they explored ancient human remains and artifacts, and even took part in a “Hands On” session, handling items as old as 14,000 years—including swords, pottery, and statues. An incredible experience bringing history to life! 🏺✨

Big Congrats to Zac Russo! 🏍️ Zac just wrapped up his Oceania Junior Cup series and had an incredible experience at the MotoGP at Phillip Island! He showed great skill over the weekend, braving tough conditions and having some awesome battles on the track. Though he was tracking for 12th, a challenging race saw him finish 14th overall—still an amazing result! Zac also had the chance to meet some of his idols, including his favourite rider, Pecco Bagnaia, and he even served as a grid marker on Jack Miller’s row for the final race! What an unforgettable experience! 👏
