Year 7 Youth and Culture Personal Interest Project Students led their peers in their own student led lessons.
Students had to prepare an engaging lessons based on a Saint and quote from that Saint exploring the Saint's life and virtues
Lessons were structured - beginning with prayer, an icebreaker, a lesson on the chosen Saint, and a team-building activity relating to virtues, getting their own experience of lesson planning and teaching a class.

On Wednesday 15th October over 80 students participated in the Parramatta Diocesan Gala Day at Jamison Park. On what was an extremely hot day, our teams played competitively and were good sports people. Congratulations to the 9 years girls and 12 years senior boys team for winning their pool. π

Sydney Dance Company Creative Youth Intensive β¨ Congratulations to Olivia S. (Year 11), Aria A. (Year 8), Sophie G. (Year 8) and Bronte P. (Year 8) who spent five days of their school holidays taking part in the Sydney Dance Companyβs Creative Youth Intensive at the Sydney Coliseum Theatre, West HQ. π Across the five days, the students dedicated themselves to refining their contemporary dance technique, collaborating with other young dancers, and exploring creative prompts through improvisation and choreography. They also had the incredible opportunity to learn and perform repertoire from Momenta, choreographed by Rafael Bonachela, under the guidance of Sydney Dance Companyβs Teaching Artists. Well done to our Stage 2 Touch Footy Teams who represented Santa Sophia last Friday. We had a very successful day and were extremely proud of the way everyone conducted themselves. There were 5 teams in total and we had a mixture of results throughout the day. All of the teams tried their best and showed great sportsmanship. We are super proud of how well they represented the school. Shout out to our Connect and Challenge friends for helping coach the games on the day, they were extremely encouraging and supportive.
